Mansplaining, Mansplained

NEW ORLEANS (RPT) – A female psychologist delivered a talk on the phenomenon of mansplaining, or the alleged tendency for men to explain concepts to women in a dismissive or derogatory manner at the annual meeting of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology today. The RPT field correspondent noted that the female researcher made a number of critical errors during her presentation, and so a male RPT correspondent who received an associate’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix provides his expert opinion here.

“Basically, mansplaining is when a woman isn’t sure about something, but feels the need to appear confident. So, she rambles on incoherently, waiting for someone to bail her out.”

When asked to elaborate on why men often feel the need to dismiss women’s thoughts on a given subject, the RPT expert offered, “Have you seen Good Will Hunting? It’s kind of like men are Matt Damon and women are Ben Affleck. Except for a woman could NOT be Batman.”
